		<description>I think another facet of this phenomenon is our fierce protection of gender roles.  We build up social constructs concerning what men are, and what women are, and despise any ambiguity.  Then, after we&#039;ve used these foundational &quot;truths&quot; to build a nice neat world view, the idea of any different type of person doesn&#039;t fit into the puzzle.

Rather than recognizing at that point that our binary, extreme ideas of what humans are don&#039;t really hold up in reality, we just create more extreme categorizations. So, instead of recognizing sexuality as a spectrum upon which we all find ourselves, you&#039;re either in one bucket or the other, and must exhibit the behavioral characteristics of your corresponding bucket.</description>
